Position Summary
This is a hybrid position. Must live locally.
This position is responsible for overseeing the grants and contracts for the Phoenix Children’s research and sponsored programs. This position will assist the investigators and staff with the grant application process, reviewing and administering all the clinical and translational laboratory neuroscience research of the growing enterprise throughout the complete grant development process from pre-award through post award administration, including, but not limited to, the review and Institutional sign-off on all proposals and grant related correspondence. This position requires effective collaboration with Accounting and Finance departments, Office of Research, and/or Institute staff in the preparation of program budgets, budget modifications, contracts, and preparation of the Research Divisions progress and financial reports. This position also provides the opportunity and responsibility for program development and growth by assisting and identifying federal, state, and other grants as well as for the review of contracts and negotiation of contracts at PC.
Education
Bachelor`s in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
Masters in related field. (Preferred)
Experience
Three (3) or more years of research experience with two (2) years of experience processing grants, contracts, and budgets (Required)
Experience with a not-for-profit research institute subject to A-122 (Preferred)
Post award grants and contracts administration/accounting requirements including a working knowledge of OMB Circulars A-122, A-133, and A-110, NIH policy guidelines, and cost accounting standards, and ability to interpret of policies and special terms and conditions of awards, budget reallocations, no cost extensions, carry-over of funds, etc. (Preferred)
Certifications
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) (Preferred)
Special Skills
Strong organization skills, especially as related to collection and communication of complex information (Required)
Ability to work independently (Required)
Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Access (Required)
