Position Summary
Full Time Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. As part of a multidisciplinary teaching environment, the Cath Lab RN supports clinical excellence, fellow education, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice while delivering safe and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, Structural Heart/TAVR and peripheral vascular procedures
- Function in circulator, monitor and scrub roles across multiple Cath Lab Suites
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient condition during procedures
- Administer medications including moderate sedation and emergencies per protocol
- Assist attending physicians, fellows during diagnostic, interventional, PCI, structural heart and complex interventional cases
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrest
- Anticipate procedural needs in a high acuity, fast paced program
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards
- Perform post-procedure recovery care, including sheath removal and hemostasis management
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergent cases
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards
Required:
- Current RN license in [State]
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in Critical Care, ICU, ER, or Cath Lab
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

- Lift and move patients with assistance
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient monitoring and equipment operation
