The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for an active, hospital-wide program for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases by utilizing and adhering to nationally recognized standards of practice. The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies related to infection prevention and control practices across healthcare, including in the hospital, clinics, and long-term care areas. The Infection Prevention Coordinator collaborates with the healthcare team and community agencies to address infectious disease concerns and other relevant topics.
