The Nurse Practitioner will function in the Community Living Center section of the Geriatrics, Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service. The Nurse Practitioner must possess a broad-based clinical knowledge to effectively manage acute and chronic illnesses of resident residing in the Community Living Center. The Nurse Practitioner works with the Geriatric Attending Physician to care for residents who require a dynamic array of treatments in the CLC including short-stay rehabilitation, short-stay IV therapies, complex wound care, long-stay continuing care, long-stay mental health, and long-stay dementia residents. The Nurse Practitioner works in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team which includes Nurses, Social Work, Psychologist, Dieticians, Recreation Therapists, Physical Therapist, Chaplain, Occupational Therapist as well as consultative services from other medical and surgical disciplines.
