Full-time APP needed for inpatient Neurosurgery service at Inova Alexandria Hospital/Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. APP will be responsible for all aspects of the service, to include daily rounds and progress notes, ER and inpatient consults, admissions and discharges, ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies, fielding phone calls from beside nurses, multidisciplinary care coordination, and patient education. You may also perform procedures within scope of practice and Inova Health System credentialing and privileges to include EVD and ICP monitor placement. Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require. The APP will work directly with the neurosurgeons.

Schedule is full time, 3 12-hour days per week including weekends/holidays and occasional nights. APP with prior neurosurgery experience preferred.

Prerequisites:

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification)
• BLS
• Virginia License
• DEA
