Position Summary
* The Clinical Education Specialist (CES) is an expert in educational theory with a working knowledge of current clinical nursing practice, patient safety, and healthcare simulation.
* The CES integrates knowledge of educational theory with patient safety strategies that provides solutions to key patient safety issues and explores innovative education for future clinical and patient safety issues.
* The CES serves as a leader/consultant/mentor/change agent in curriculum development and educational delivery methods to advance the practice of nursing to achieve quality, cost-effective nursing support for patient/family outcomes within the organization and across populations.
The scope of responsibility includes leadership in education, support of clinical practice, support and mentorship for clinical educators, consultation, research and interdisciplinary collaboration for education and practice.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Current Minnesota RN license. Master's or higher degree in nursing, education or related experience in education. Will consider candidate with a Bachelor's degree in nursing actively pursuing a Master's in nursing or education with completion within three years of hire. Experience in leadership, consultation, education, research and interdisciplinary collaboration preferred. Current BLS required.
