Atlantic Health System is seeking a part time Registered Nurse for 7D surgical unit at Overlook Medical Center, primarily working 7pm-7am and including every third weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirments:
Must have leadership ability and be able delegate tasks to unlicensed care givers
Must have strong time management and multitasking skills
The individual must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Leadership skills / excellent organization and excellent time management skills required
OMC Neuroscience units have Joint
OMC Neuroscience units have Joint Commission Designation in Comprehensive Stroke and as a Center of Excellence in Spine surgery
Become part of a team of professionals dedicated to providing specialized care for adults with dysfunction of the central nervous system
Minimum Education:
BSN required
License/Certifications:
Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
BLS required
Certification is a plus
Relevant Experience:
Experience with surgical patients - patient with disorders of the GI and GU system
Experience with ERAS programs a plus
