Registered Nurse in the Transition to Practice (RNTTP) residency program is a NOVICE and upon hiring, no experience of the situations in which they are ultimately expected to perform. In this first year, the RNTTP is "taught about situations in terms of objective attributes and other objectifiable, measurable parameters of a patient's condition, features of the task world that can be recognized without situational experience.
