Moody Neuro is licensed as an ALF, and as such our nurses may delegate tasks to the residential staff such as peg tube feedings via syringe bolus, medication passing, blood sugar checks, and some injections.  The typical nursing tasks include skin assessments, wound care, bladder scans, lovenox injections, straight cathing, coordinating labs, medication prep, education of unlicensed staff, and carrying out physician orders.   Our average census is 17 patients, and we have a 2.5 to 1 staffing ratio in residential, requiring between 6-8 residential staff on campus per shift to care for patients with the RN.
