Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for the Valve and Structural Heart Center at Morristown Medical Center
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Valve and Structural Heart Center at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, previous experience in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery or Critical Care Services. The successful NP will have experience in a cardiac environment. The hours will be up to three shifts a week working 6:30am - 6:30pm, with occasional weekends. Come join our team!
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Nurse Practitioner involves providing a broad range of services that begin with an initial patient consultation and assessment throughout the patient inpatient stay and continue with ongoing care. The NP will also examine patients, formulate diagnoses, and develop a treatment plan for patients. This role also requires technical, clinical, and critical procedures, documenting patient progress and post procedural care.
Qualifications
BSN and MSN from an accredited school of nursing
NP Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
DEA, ACLS and BLS required
Previous experience in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery or Critical Care Services preferred
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
