Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Springfield, Missouri

Our well-established practice is seeking a neonatal nurse practitioner to join our practice at Mercy Kids Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
State-of-the-art, 46-bed Level-III single patient room NICU
About 450 NICU admissions (~50 VLBW
We provide all aspects of neonatal care with the exception of ECMO and cardiac surgery
Close collaboration between our group that includes 5 board-certified neonatologists, nursing, therapy services, and hospital leadership
Awesome nursing staff that is actively engaged in patient care with skilled resource nurses who provide procedural and mentoring skills
NNPs provide in-house, 24-hour shift coverage using self-scheduling between the NNP group of five (7 shifts/month)
NNPs attend high-risk deliveries (no routine C/S coverage) and provide support to NICU nursing who attend lower-risk deliveries
Most pediatric sub-specialists are available on staff or through telehealth
Therapy services based in the NICU and available 7 days a week
In-house neonatal transport team comprised of members of NICU nursing and respiratory care staff
Medical Director with academic and private practice background interested in developing individuals based on career goals
Participation in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and monthly team meetings are expected
Teaching opportunities are available (we have medical students on elective rotations)
We are developing a bedside ultrasound diagnostic program for 2023 and have interest in developing a medical follow-up clinic
Clinical research opportunities with mentorship are available (not required)
Individual neonatologist interests include nutrition, BPD care, neonatal abstinence syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, intestinal rehab, and hypothermic therapy

45 minutes to Branson, Table Rock Lake, and Silver Dollar City
1-2 hours to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and Lake of the Ozarks
2-3 hours to Kansas City and St Louis with many locals making weekly trips to see their favorite sports teams or catch Amtrak for an adventure
