Your day.

As an RN Sepsis Program Coordinator you need to know how to:

• Actively participate in patient care rounds with the Quality Director. Serve as a patient care coordinator for the respiratory therapy patients. Provide education to patients and family members during the hospital stay and serve as a resource and contact for patients and their families after they are discharged.


• Discuss plan of care with physicians and nurses and concurrently review that all care meets evidence-based guidelines for respiratory.


• Serve as a liaison for the Respiratory Service Line program with other departments in the hospital and with outside agencies and institutions. Actively plan and participate in Respiratory Education programs for physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel in the hospital, community and outlying areas.


• Coordinate and/or provide outreach efforts per Resp Service Line program TJC PSC requirements focusing on Resp Education, Nursing Student education and by providing other speaking requests by the community.


• Perform chart reviews and collect data for and maintain the database to meet core measure data submission requirements of The Joint Commission. Analyze this data for performance improvement activity planning and evaluation within the respiratory therapy program.


• Serve as a member of the Quality Team and serve as a resource for respiratory protocol and care. Maintain and/or analyze data collected on respiratory processes per TJC requirements and provide follow-up to caregivers along the resp therapy care continuum.


• In collaboration with the Quality Director, develop and implement evidence-based policies and standards for the Respiratory Service Line Program by analyzing current guidelines and processes and per PSC TJC requirements.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Bachelorâ™s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, required.


• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required.


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.


• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of acute care nursing experience, required.


• Demonstrated experience in a similar quality improvement role, required.


• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and/or similar software, required.


• Current ACLS certification, preferred.


• At least two (2) years of leadership experience, preferred.
