This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. ["The Registered Nurse PACT Educator is responsible for organizing and directing team members to help patients achieve desirable outcomes through education and training in primary care settings. The RN PACT Educator functions in the Primary Care Clinic which utilizes a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. The RN PACT Educator uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice to collaborate with the Core Team in developing patient-driven care and meeting the clinical training needs of staff. Duties included but not limited to: Under the direction of the Lead Registered Nurse and Nursing leadership, will perform site visits within the VA Puget Sound, General Medicine Service Line to perform scheduled and planned trainings.· Demonstrates clinical knowledge in assessing, planning, implementing documenting and evaluating care for a designated group of patients across the continuum of care. · Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational content for ambulatory care nursing staff. ·Understands concepts related to telephone and in-person triage and the application of a collaborative team approach in identifying, analyzing, and resolving patient care problems. Utilizes evidence based practice in the design, development, and implementation of training content for delivery of care to patients with complex, specialized, and potentially life-threatening situations in both virtual and face to face platforms. Manage flow of educational events, collects data, reports to nurse manager and Lead educator regarding any identified issues related to the training needs of the staff. Facilitates virtual and in-person training sessions by working closely with presenters and trainers ensuring appropriate execution of all planned training events. Utilizes existing computer systems such as Office 365, Vista, and Electronic Medical Record platforms to manage educational initiatives. Analyzes data, organizes information, and assists in the development and preparation of various administrative reports and presentations. Utilizes problem-solving methodologies and advances clinical knowledge to resolve system and/or processes that impact educational efforts and patient care delivery. Provides care, respecting patient's personal values, cultural and belief systems.
