Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time Assistant Nurse Manager in the I/P Psychiatric unit at Newton Medical Center to work day shift 7a-3:30p.
Newton Medical Center has achieved the Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for the patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills. Collaborates with Nurse Manager to ensure fiscal accountability.
Assists with staffing, scheduling, hiring and disciplining.
Follows up with any employee issues or concerns, and keeps manager informed.
Assists with STCF Data collection and reporting, and preparation for re-designation licensing inspection.
Responsibility to monitor all team members for the completion of mandatory education requirements, BLS, Nursing license, and additional education and on-going in-services.
Provide notification and education to team members related to product, practice & standards news flashes and informatics updates. Completion and reporting of monthly hand hygiene audits.
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
3-5 years of behavioral health nursing experience and knowledge of STCF regulation/standards of involuntary patients preferred.
Detail oriented individual who can organize the orienting/mentoring of new team members, and monitor completion of all team member mandatory education requirements, BLS, Nursing license, and additional education and in-services throughout the year.
