Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager at Overlook Medical Center for the Inpatient Medical Oncology team.
Essential Job Functions:
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
Candidate will have knowledge of chemotherapy administration and central line devices
Candidate will work closely with manager regarding scheduling of staff, overseeing front end staff regarding scheduling of patients, obtaining authorizations for treatment and monitoring of revenue, patient, team member and physician satisfaction, and various quality initiatives aimed at provide safe and efficient care
Candidate will participate in hiring of new staff, coordination of orientation of staff. maintaining competencies, and committee membership on several oncology committees
Master's degree preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Current NJ RN license required
Chemo/biotherapy certified required
3+ years of oncology experience required
Previous leadership experience preferred
Full-Time: 7:00am to 7:30pm, weekends as needed
