The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is the designated first-line supervisor with responsibility and accountability for the 24/7 operations of their units. The CNM is responsible for ensuring that staff provide timely nursing care that complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice. The CNM is responsible for assigning work and evaluating performance, making recommendations for advancement, and giving advice, counsel, or instruction to nursing staff. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
