The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) to be a member of the Patient Care Services Team. As a RN assigned to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the nurse is primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients admitted to the ICU section of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. This includes, but is not limited to assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical interventions, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. In addition, the nurse delivers fundamental, knowledge-based care to adult and geriatric patients while developing technical competence in accordance with the Michigan Nurse Practice Act, Medical Center, and VAHQ standards of practice. The incumbent provides direct nursing care to individual and groups of patients under the guidance and direction of the Unit/Nurse Manager. Work Schedule: Fulltime, 12 hour shifts, 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
