The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be November 30, 2021, with subsequent cut-off dates every Tuesday. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Pain Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of patients within the Pain Clinic and serves as a member of the interdisciplinary pain team. They will work closely with providers and other disciplines to create a treatment plan to improve patient care and to assist in the implementation of pain management strategies. They will report to the Primary Care Nurse Manager, Primary Care Integrated Clinical Community. The Registered Nurse in the Pain Clinic is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient-family centered and holistic care in regard to the management of acute and chronic pain as he/she functions as a team member of the Primary Care Integrated Clinical Community. The RN will perform a wide range of clinical/administrative duties and will utilize nursing skills when assessing and triaging unscheduled patients, provide RN focused visits, completes nursing intakes and documents in the medical record. The RN will work collaboratively with staff within the Pain Team as well as staff throughout the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facility and facilities/community agencies involved in the veteran's care. Duties include but are not limited to: Participates huddles with Pain team Triages unscheduled veterans/Conducts Telephone triage Administering medications Promotes utilization for virtual care modalities Utilizes a variety of databases to improve outcomes/patient care. Provides Patient Education Provides Staffing Coverage in Primary Care Clinics or other areas as needed Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
