This Full-Time position will have a heavy focus on Education across all of Women's Services including but not limited to L&D, Post-Partum, Well-Baby Nursery and NICU.
*Must have at least 3 years of RN experience on a L&D unit.*
The Asst. Nurse Manager is a professional nurse who manages the daily operations of a department (s)to provide services for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizational and medical staff goals.
Responsible for promoting the efficient operations to provide effective nursing care of a designated department (s).
Manages the department independently under the guidance of an Manager.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO and the Nurse Practice Act.
Promotes optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines.
Is responsible for department(s) on a 24 hour basis.
Required: Academic degree in nursing
Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree
Required: 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full time charge nurse/related position. At least 3 years of RN experience in L&D.
Preferred: Educator experience
Required: Current RN Licensure to practice in the State of TN. BLS required. ACLS and NRP to be obtained within 6 months of hire date. AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification to be obtained within 8 months of hire.
Preferred: Instructor of NRP, STABLE and/or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
