This LPN position in the Community Living Center (CLC). You will be a direct caregiver to our Nations Veterans. You will work independently, but under the supervision of the RN with minimal guidance. You will perform each of the identified elements on a daily basis as assigned in a safe, effective manner, adhering to standards and criteria identified in Medical Center/Health Care System manuals and current practice. Duties include but not limited to the following: Administer medications according to policies and procedures. Document observations, treatments, procedures, medications and conditions electronically and reports them verbally to the appropriate person, generally a Registered Nurse. Work collaboratively and communicate with Core Interdisciplinary team, i.e. family/caregiver, internal and community based services involved in providing care to the patient. Prepares, administers, records, and communicates results of medications, vital signs, treatments, etc. Recognizes and initiates appropriate response in emergent situations. Manages workload effectively. Work Schedule: Evening shift 3:30p-12a. There is potential for compressed tours also. 10 hour shifts (1:30p-12a) and 12 hour shifts (11:30a-12a) Only when enough staff available. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
