He or she is accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice. Documents care provided, observations, and responses on the electronic medical record, tools and or forms. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care in accordance with the Nine Dimensions of Nursing as specified in the VA Nurse Qualification Standards and the VAMHCS High Performance Development Model. The nurse serves as a role model when functioning as team leader or charge nurse under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee. The nurse collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team in planning, developing, and coordinating the care for the residents and their family.
