POSITION COULD BE IN ANY AREA OF OUR NURSING SERVICE TO INCLUDE ALL CLINICS/WARDS***** The LPN will work under an RN and/or Nurse Manager to provide direct patient care to Veterans The incumbent will complete assigned duties/responsibilities which involve performing non-standard and specialized practical nursing activities within their grade level. LPN will also serve as an active member of a healthcare team with professional and supportive personnel. Provides assistance or complete physical care for patients by observing, identifying and responding to specific patient needs. Provides a safe environment and protects patient's rights. Demonstrates knowledge, skills and ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Meets the needs of customers while also supporting VA missions. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Days: 7am - 3:30pm, Evenings: 3:30pm until Midnight or Nights: 11:30pm until 8:00am with the ability to do compressed tours. Work every other weekend with rotating holidays.
