A recruitment/relocation incentive is NOT authorized for this position. The PACT LPN functions under the supervision of an RN, Licensed Independent Practitioner, or MD on all tours of duty. This LPN is accountable to the designated Nurse Manager for the provision of technical nursing care. He/she is responsible for individual nursing actions and competence within the scope of his/her license, the guidelines of this functional description, the general rules of conduct per the Employee Handbook, and the policies, procedures, and guidelines of this Patient Care Service and Montana VA Health Care System. Specific task assignments are competency-based. Initially, the LPN will complete a demonstration of basic competencies defined in the Orientation/Competency Profile for PACT LPN with additional or ongoing competencies available as needed. Formal performance review follows established policies and regulations related to Hybrid Title 38 employment. All nurses in VA Montana Health Care System are accountable to the Associate Director, PCS for nursing standards of care. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 or as agreed upon with the possibility of extended hours and weekends. NOTE: Candidates must be willing to work weekends, irregular work hours and extended hours. The candidate must be willing to be assigned to other related services and/or locations, if necessary.
