Nurse Manager position is located in Infection Prevention at the West Haven campus. This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week. Nursing is recruiting for a full time RN-Nurse Manager for Infection Prevention. The Nurse Manager of Infection Prevention is responsible for executing position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience and creative approaches to management of complex Infection Prevention issues. The Nurse Manager incorporates professional standards and implements broad-reaching evidence-based change. Duties include, but not limited to: Leading and organizing delivery of care to assure continuity of care and peer accountability for practice; Using advance clinical knowledge/judgment to promote staff involvement in planning, decision-making, and evaluating outcomes; Functioning as an expert in clinical practice and/or areas related to the assigned roles and responsibilities; Systematically evaluating current practice, and formulating outcomes for groups of patients and/or organizational processes within an area of expertise; Guiding, developing, and supporting staff from a leadership perspective; and Using professional standards of care, scientific evidence, and practice to evaluate programs and/or service activities. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Telework: May be authorized-must be in the position for a period of one year and has also demonstrated a successful or higher performance rating.
