Job Summary:

In this unique and challenging position, this clinical leader is accountable for the diabetes population both inpatient and outpatient.  Working with a highly motivated clinical team composed of endocrinologists, physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians and clinical nurse specialists this expert clinician will direct the care of the diabetic population.   Working with clinical nurses and physicians to implement best practices, impacting outcomes, minimizing complications across the inpatient population including a computerized insulin infusion management tool.  Inpatient populations focus on Gestational to Geriatric and focus on smooth transitions to the next level of care.  Management of the diabetes clinic includes follow up visits with outpatients to manage diabetes, provide community classes and the critical nutritional support provided by the dietitians.  This program is ADA accredited and Joint Commission accredited for diabetes seeking to constantly provide the highest quality of care.  Teamwork and professional collaboration are the hallmarks of this program’s continued success within the context of AdventHealth services standards promoting a healing, health environment for patients and staff.
