POSITION PURPOSE: Assists the Perioperative Director in planning, organizing and supervising all aspects of patient care and unit operations. INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with the OR Nurse Manager and Perioperative Director to provide safe patient care across the surgical continuum. Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position requires the ability to multi-task, enforce accountability and promote professionalism among the teammates that report to them Responsible for the daily team needs of SDS /PACU
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS AND LEVEL OF AUTONOMY: The SDS/PACU Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability for all aspects of nursing care delivery and operations of Same Day Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Preadmission Testing departments.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BSN degree Has successfully completed the program at an accredited school of nursing with a current state nursing license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in perioperative nursing, at least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of MA. Certificate in clinical specialty preferred.
