Under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients. She/he will have the knowledge, skill and experience to carry out assignments involving treatments, diagnostic studies, and patient/family education. This population-specific care takes into consideration all physical, psycho-social, spiritual and cultural needs.
