The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will develop outpatient clinic sessions for patients needing cancer rehabilitation, provide inpatient consultation services for patients with cancer and general rehabilitation needs and assist with coverage of inpatients at the UVA/Encompass Health Joint Venture Rehabilitation Hospital. The candidate will also provide, on a rotational basis, night and weekend coverage.
The qualified candidate must have a MD or DO and be board-certification or board-eligibility by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The incumbent must be committed to a career in academic medicine and interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research.
