Treats patients of all ages using specific treatment tools for wound and ostomy patients and assists with the supervision of supportive personnel. Assists with education of hospital staff as needed regarding wound management/ostomy care. Participates in departmental Performance Improvement, assures quality care through continuing education, provides consultation, represents department in the hospital and community, maintains interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication.
Graduate of a registered nursing program. Registered nurse licensure in the State of Florida. A minimum of 2 years hospital experience or 1 year wound care experience preferred. BLS, ACLS & CPR certification required.
