PCA Job description: GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs various duties to assist the professional nursing staff with routine patient care needs, communication, comfort, safety, documentation, and treatments. Works under direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Registered Nurse as required and according to established nursing policies and procedures. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients in the following age groups: All ages - Neonate, Infancy, Toddler, Preschool, School Age, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
Unit Secretary Job Description: GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision of a Nurse Manager and according to established Hospital and nursing department policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties including compiling, transcribing, preparing, and maintaining records in a specific nursing area or unit. Provides information and communication services to visitors and staff. Assists nursing staff in maintaining efficient and effective operations on the unit.
Qualifications:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: 1. The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a High School Diploma and specialized training (Certified Nursing Assistant), or student nurse who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing. 2. Minimum of one year of experience and ability to perform the additional duties under supervision of Nursing Inservice Education. 3. The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a High School Diploma. 4. Three to six months of previous clerical experience.
