We are currently seeking a talented RN Surgical Services Manager to join our team at Abrazo West!!
Single or multi-department management of operations. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff. Enforces policies, procedures and standards of operation. Position may have budgetary or fiscal accountability. Renders individualized comprehensive nursing care, based on nursing process, to meet the patientï¿½s physical, psychological, spiritual, social and educational needs. Manages the staff to meet designated goals. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
Special Skills: Must be able to work under deadlines. Must be able to utilize independent decision making skills in a wide variety of situations.
Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Personal computer skills required. Frequent contact with
employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Call may be required for this role
The ideal candidate :
BSN, MSN preferred,
3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
Two years of management/supervisory experience is preferred.
Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school,
Bachelor's degree or a Bachelors degree is obtained within two years. Five years relevant clinical nursing experience.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
CPR. ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire. ER: PALS required or must obtain within six months of hire. PACU: ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire, PALS preferred. Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required or must obtain within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN. Management experience with two years supervisory experience.
