This position is responsible for: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in the Specialty care pediatrics practice as directed by Nurse Manager and Specialty Providers.
The position is responsible for Facilitating the flow of the clinic, triaging walk-in patients and assisting providers as necessary with office visits (medical and behavioral) which are adapted to the patient’s developmental stage.
Performs patient assessments, triages during clinic and escalates as appropriate
Performs and documents patient intake (height, weight, head circumference, manual blood pressures, chief complaints and reason for visit)
Assists providers with genetic testing specimen collection during office visits and other back office testing
Monitors patient flow including preparing patients and rooms for medical and behavioral therapy visits.
Telephone triage patient calls under the supervision of the provider
Orders and maintains appropriate stock inventory of clinic supplies
Provides age and developmental appropriate care to infants, children, adolescents and adults
Active Delaware Registered Nurse Licensure Requiredâ‹
