Under the direction of the Director/Nurse Manager, coordinates Medical Surgical Services operations in relation to staffing, auditing, scheduling, and file mainteanance of all competency and educational requirements of the staff. Coordinates the orientation of new Unit Secretaries and functions in that role within the area assisgned to her, when necessary and performs clerical tasks that include supplies management and mainteance of all records that are required by ACHA and the Joint Commission in relation to Telemetry Services operations. Supervises Telemetry Services administrative staff activities, payroll tracking and preparation, and attendance/punctuality tracking as a sub-function of scheduling. Will be asked to perform audits and additional clerical duties as required by department operations.
Previous Office Management Experience Preferred
Medical Terminology course or the equivalent
Demonstrates effective communication skills with staff members and all customers.
Possesses a clear , understandable speaking voice. Possesses the ability to react calmly under stressful conditions.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of computer usage in relation to scheduling and payroll
Demonstrates ability to organize work and set priorities.
Displays appropriate public relations techniques for dealing effectively with physicians, staff and patients.
Maintains professional competency by participating in continuing education and appropriate learning experience.
Possesses the ability to walk, stand and bend intermittently and sit for long periods. Has corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Certifications in relation to Office Management preferred.
