Working as a leadership dyad with the Lead Physician, the Manager is responsible for ensuring that patient care services are available and delivered within the guidelines and policies of the OSF Medical Group. The Manager is responsible for oversight, planning, directing and evaluating the operations of a physician practice. Responsible for the day to day management and oversight of a practice including scheduling of resources, the operations of site specific technologies and equipment, the appearance and cleanliness of the facility(ies), and the experience of each patient. Utilizes OSF supporting services effectively including Human Resources, Finance, Health Information Management, Performance Improvement, Epic support and training, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Marketing, Communications & Public Relations, and other OSF System Resources. Manager take responsibility for and is accountable for achieving operating results and financial targets for assigned practice(s). Ensures that clinical services and operations meet quality, service and regulatory standards and requirements of federal, state, Joint Commission and those we serve. Manager is an advocate for the patient and for the provision of the highest quality care, in conformance with OSF standards and in support of the Mission of OSF. Ensures competency of clinical staff directly or via delegation to appropriately trained/licensed staff and is accountable to OSFMG Director of Nursing for implementation of nursing standards of care/policies and nursing competency.
