Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants

POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the direction of the Medical Director/Supervising Physician and/or the Registered Nurse or NP Manager, is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. He/she will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: - Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program - Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur
Desired: - Bilingual in Spanish desirable
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: - Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing - Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing - Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing - Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application - Meets Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare - Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition - Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff & Finance offices
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve.
